Michelle, this is an important story, one that probably never will get the attention and action it demands of an honorable society, which we are not. The homeless population is rapidly growing, and scandalously underreported in the US. It is a segment of the population that has no voice or political clout. Hence, legislators are not about to hitch their wagon to it. To add perspective, consider that Warren Buffett has a publically stated personal wealth of $121.5 billion dollars. If that amount were frozen, and Warren decided to gift $1 million dollars per day to someone or something, it would require 388 years to reduce that sum to zero. Think about that. So, no one can intelligently claim there are no solutions or adequate resources available to address this problem. If they do, they are either liars or idiots. They might actually be both!
